Improve your student's Reading Comprehension:It is all about reading comprehension! Does your student understand what they read. That makes the difference between an on grade level student and below. What are some simple things you can do with your students to help them with this?
Finding "Just Right" Books for Your StudentMost fourth grade students should be at a Level O or P at this time of the year. Many of the students in our class are just above or below that. When choosing books for your student, you can keep that in mind. Generally the 5 Finger Rule works well for most students when choosing a book. (see below)
